WIP (Work In Process)

Every one of us are working toward a standard of living consciously or unconsciously. Some struggling more than the next. But here’s the deal…we are all a WORK IN PROCESS, a WIP!

So this blog isn’t complete yet. It’s taking shape as I type these words on my laptop.

Why am I telling you this instead of waiting to have it complete?

  • Because it gives you an example of what it looks like to have a goal and needing to start somewhere instead of waiting. Waiting till I have the right words? Waiting till I find the write blog pic? Waiting to write something brilliant?….JUST START.
  • Because it will help you commit to following through on the goal you’ve imaged and it takes the pressure off the doomed feeling of never beginning….JUST BEGIN.

Acting on achieving your goals is more difficult than one thinks. Many times we have a goal…life happens…time passes and one drops the idea of beginning the process of goal setting altogether.

To help me (or you) get started, here are a few questions to think about:

  • Why are you blogging (purging??), instead of keeping a personal journal?
  • What subject matter do you have a desire to write about?
  • If you blog on a regular basis, what would you hope to gain from it?

As I am keyboard tapping away just now, I realized that blogging will help me to evolve as I learn, grow, and interact with you. — and isn’t that what a WIP is? I know what my focus is, what my dreams are but I may not always know where to start. I am a WORK IN PROCESS!

Hmm, I think I just wrote a blog after all! 😃

Published by a step in my direction

As a lifetime freelance aspirer, I am walking, and sometimes running, imperfectly through life the best way that I can. I feel that it is my responsibility to live truthfully, authentically, and wholeheartedly. This site, a step in my direction, is my effort to do just that. I would not call myself a writer but I have been writing as long as I can remember -- short stories, poems and writing jags for friends. I journal because it helps me to process things. And when life gets a little crazy -- cause you know it will -- I write. It's my escape and simultaneously its a window to becoming something more. Come along and take a step in my direction to see my world from my perspective.
